  • Multiplayer kill streak bonuses

Kill the indicated number of enemies in a row in Multiplayer mode to get the corresponding bonus:

3 enemies: Recon plane displays enemies on your team's radar.
5 enemies: Artillery strike that can be placed anywhere on the map.
7 enemies: Send out an angry pack of dogs against the enemy.

  • Extra ammunition

Use the following trick if run out or are running low on ammunition on any mission in Solo mode on any difficulty. Find a non-essential teammate (someone not involved in the story line). Walk up to him, and aim the reticule next to his head or torso. Knife the air, and as you do so move slightly towards them so that the reticule is over them. If done correctly, he should die and drop his weapon. Non-essential teammates will get replaced when you walk into a battle. If the teammate does not die but keeps getting back up, they are essential to the story (for example, Sgt. Roebuck and Sgt. Rezenov).

  • Hide among the dead in Multiplayer mode

Find some dead bodies. Run up to them, and make sure no one else is around besides your teammates. Get down into a laying position. Then, crawl into what appears to be the body of the dead person, so it looks like there are fragments of the body around your HUD. Lower your gun, but have it high enough to still see what is coming. This trick will make it harder for people to see you unless they are paying close attention to the ground. The flaws to this trick are that people can sneak up from behind and see you, and you can only see in one direction without moving. After a few kills, move to another location because other players will pick up on your trick and grenade or rush you.

  • Easy money in Nacht Der Untoten

For the first few rounds, let all the zombies break down the boards and come inside. Then, use your pistol or knife to kill them to get more points than simply shooting them once in the head. A knife to the head will earn 130 points per kill. Once all of the zombies are dead, patch up the boards. You will have much more money than if you simply killed them as they approached. Note: After level 3, the zombies are too powerful to be taken down this way.

  • Preparing for next round in Nacht Der Untoten

At the end of each round, do not kill the last zombie. Kill all of the others, but allow one to live. When it has entered the building, throw a grenade at it to blow off its legs. It should now crawl slowly on the ground, leaving you plenty of time to patch up any necessary windows. The next round will not begin until you kill him. He is easy to evade. Use this opportunity to prepare for the next round. When you are ready, kill him to end the round.

  • Hidden radio music in Nacht Der Untoten

Start any type of Nazi Zombie game, and unlock the door to the Mystery Box room. Go to the Mystery Box. Go over to the right, and look at a table to find a radio. Shoot a bullet at the radio. After a few seconds, you will hear random types of music such as rock, disco, opera, and some in-game music such as the Russian victory song, the final mission music, or the Japanese combat music. The music will stop in between rounds but will then start again. Every player in game should hear it.

  • Sniping locations

    Airfield

In the middle of the map is a two story concrete building. Place satchels or Bouncing Bettys to protect your location. There is also a large white estate with a ladder and staircase in front of it that can be used as a sniping location.

    Castle

There are many good sniping positions on this map. The first is a small room overlooking the garden and the front staircase. To get to this room, either climb the ladder or go up the stairs. The second location is a small room that has a clear line of sight into the room mentioned above. To get to this room, go to the bottom of the map, and climb up the staircase. You should be on a wooden porch that connects to the gardens. Turn left, and you will be in the room.

    Cliffside

There are two concrete bunkers in this map. Go to the one on the edge of the cliff. From this room, you can snipe players as they run by and also shoot them trying the get in from behind.

    Courtyard

At the end of the courtyard, go into the shack, and turn right. Use the portion of wall that is jutting out to hop into the tree.

    Dome

There is a platform with a ladder on the side of the building. To get to this platform, you can either climb the ladder or go up the stairs inside. This spot connects to a ledge inside the building.

    Downfall

There is a bunker/cave in the upper left corner of the map (second row of buildings). This bunker has a clear shot of enemy respawn points and has good protection from tanks. Make sure to use Bouncing Bettys to protect yourself.

    Hangar

On the second floor of the hangar is a small room. From the outside, you can get to it by climbing up the rubble pile on the side of the building.

Go to the porch outside the hanger entrance. Close to the hanger is a large white carved stone. Jump on it, and try and hop over the fence. You will fail, but will land on the fence.

    Makin

Go to the circular building, and look through the stair entrance. There should be a hut with two rectangular windows overlooking the sandy area that can be used as a sniper position. Also, there is a tall building on the water with windows overlooking the entire map that can be used.

    Outskirts

Once inside the church tower, look through the circular window. There is a white building with a small balcony in the distance. Use it to snipe from.

    Roundhouse

There is a platform/hallway that goes over the middle of the map. To get to it, go behind the trashed locomotives. Climb up the staircase, and turn left at the round platform. You should have a good view of the whole roundhouse in the middle of the map.

    Upheaval

Towards the top of the map is building with two windows that overlook the whole area. Note: Other players will try to get you.

Go into the house next to the burning house. Stand on a windowsill, and face the side. You should fall on a ledge below.

Enter the burning house. Go up the steps and out the window in the same way to hit a ledge below.

  • New Game+ mode

Successfully complete the game to unlock New Game+ mode. In your second playthrough, all enemies are more powerful.

  • Duplicating items and weapons

Start a co-op game with at least one other player. Drop the item(s) and/or weapon(s) you want to duplicate. Then, leave the game through a non-saving method, such as force closing the game. Since the game did not save after you dropped the item(s) and/or weapon(s), you will still have them, and the other player(s) who picked them up will also have them.

  • Easy loot and money

Every time you load a saved game, the chests and lootable objects restock. Save the game near a place where there are multiple weapon chests, such as in the town of New Haven. Collect all the loot in them, then save the game. Reload the saved game, and collect all the loot again. Keep the loot you want, and sell the loot you do not want. Repeat this as many times as desired. Note: You get more money and better loot when there are more than one player. This is best done with four players.

  • Easy rare weapons

Save the game near a location with multiple weapon chests, such as in the town of New Haven. Then, host a game, and have three other players join. Collect all the weapons in the chests, then exit out of the game, and host a new game at the same spot. Repeat this process as many times as desired. You should get quite a few rare weapons using this method.

  • Easy experience and weapon proficiency

Use the following trick to get easy experience and weapon proficiencies, as well as good weapons and money by selling loot from all the dead enemies. Once you reach "The Middle Of Nowhere" area, you will eventually get the "Circle Of Slaughter" quest. When do you do the quest, enter the arena, and kill all but one enemy (preferably a little one). Do not kill all enemies or the quest will end. Also, do not die or you will potentially lose a lot of money. After killing all but one enemy and collecting all items desired, exit out, and the game will save automatically. Reload your saved game, sell all desired items through one of the nearby machines, and repeat the quest as many times as desired. Note: There are three rounds; the last one is called" Final Round". Do not finish it if you want to repeat this trick.

  • Easy experience

Successfully complete the game, and try to be around level 40 with your character. Then, start a split screen game with your high level character and a new character that you want to level up quickly. Find a location with a lot of enemies that are easy to kill (for example, the Lost Cave with the crabs and leveled up Skags). Make sure your high level character was saved in the area you wish to go, and load him or her as the host with the other character as the second player. Leave the low level character by the New-U Station, and use your high level character to kill all the enemies. Your new character will gain levels almost instantly. This will begin to slow down around level 28, but you will still be able to get them to around level 35 relatively quickly. You will now be able to begin a new game with your new character at a very high level and play through the game easily while collecting more and better loot. This is a great way to play with the other three characters and start at a high level.

  • Hidden house with Rider gun in New Haven

When you get the "Another Piece Of The Puzzle" quest (do not complete), you can go to a secret house in New Haven. When you enter the house, you take a lift down to the bottom. There is one regular weapon chest and a red weapon chest. The red weapon chest always contains the "Rider" gun, which is a reference to the Red Ryder BB gun from the classic movie A Christmas Story. Its stats usually vary slightly each time you get one. The weapon can only be found in this house. The weapon's manufacturer is "Gearbox" (the game's developer), as opposed to an in-game company such as Dahl, Hyperion, etc. Note: When this location is used with the others in New Haven for the "Easy loot and money" trick, you can get a lot of loot and money quickly.

  • Weapon chest locations in New Haven
  • Hidden rare weapon chest in Rust Commons West

Go to the far northwest corner (on the map) in Rust Commons West. Find the rock wall with the gun tower on top of it. Stand near the left side of the gun tower. Then, crouch and stay against the rock wall as you move down the rocks. The warning sign may appear. Ignore it, and try to move as quickly as possible. The chest is basically in front of the gun tower, under a large rock overhang. The weapons chest has a high chance of spawning rare weapons. Note: It may require a few attempts to reach the chest. Once you get the weapons, you either must kill yourself or exit the game because there is no way to leave this area safely.

  • Secret "Fish" easter egg in Treacher's Landing

Go to the secret dock (farthest south point of the starting position) in Treacher's Landing. Shoot the yellow barrel to the right of the dock. Then, shoot the green barrel in the distant trash pile to the east of the boat. Shoot one of the blue barrels on the boat. Finally, shoot the red barrel in the water to the left of the boat.

  • "Bandit Treasure" quest

Fast travel to Old Haven, then follow the left wall to find a pile of dead bandits. Look for the glowing bandit or glowing key nearby to unlock the "Bandit Treasure" quest.

  • "Green Thumb" quest

Fast travel to "The Middle Of Nowhere" Bounty Board. Get a car from Scooter's, and drive to the right. Look for the small shack with big plants around it. Talk to the man leaning against the shack to unlock the "Green Thumb" quest.

  • Extra SDU Backpacks

Sometimes during your second playthrough and beyond, you will get an extra SDU Backpack after repairing a Claptrap even after you have reached the 42 maximum allowed slots in your inventory, which is not supposed to happen, and is a known glitch in the game. Thus, before you turn in a repair kit to rescue a Claptrap, exit the game to save. Then, turn the repair kit in to the Claptrap. If you do not get an SDU Backpack, leave the game through a non-saving method, such as force closing the game. Then, try again until you get an SDU Backpack.

  • Extra item space

Create a second character for use in Co-op mode. When you want to store an item, start a Co-op game with your main character and secondary character. Transfer the items you want to store to the secondary character until you need them, then transfer them back.

  • Critical hits

It is important to try to get critical hits on enemies so you kill them quicker and get additional XP. To get a critical hit on a human, shoot it in the head. If you use a sniper rifle, it will usually kill them instantly. For a Skag, shoot it in the face when its mouth is open. This varies depending on the type. For the pups, shoot them while they roar at you. For adults, quickly shoot them while they jump at you. For the spitters, shoot their mouths while they fire their poison projectile at you. Critical hits are easiest at close range with a shotgun or scattergun.

  • Quick reloads

While reloading, press [Melee] as soon as the cartridge is removed or new rounds are being inserted, and the gun will reload instantly.

  • Claptrap locations

The ten Claptraps can be found at the following locations. When you repair a Claptrap, it will reward you with an SDU Backpack, which adds three extra slots to your inventory.

      Crazy Earl's Scrapyard

When you enter the area, go left at the "T" intersection. Fight your way through bandits, and you will find him in one of the camps. To get the repair kit, just jump on the washing machine to get onto the platform. Kill the bandits, and grab the kit.

      Crimson Fastness

You should just run into this Claptrap. He will be next to some other dead Claptraps.

      Krom's Canyon

When you enter the area, go right. The Claptrap is (from the perspective of only using the right side of the map) at the north west part of that canyon.

      New Haven

The Claptrap is in the town right next to the bounty board.

      Old Haven

The Claptrap does not spawn until you have completed the quest to save the Claptrap from the cage. Once you have completed that quest, enter the area, and take the first right. Follow that street, as if you were heading towards the base of troopers that have the two turrets. He will be in a house on your left, before you turn the corner to head towards that base. His kit is on the rooftops.

      Sledges Safehouse

The Claptrap is in the north west part of the map, near some rubble, and close to a stairwell; listen for the Claptrap's moaning. His repair kit is above you, when you are standing on the waypoint.

      Tetanus Warrens

The Claptrap is north of where you start, before you get to the fork in the road, on the left side. The repair kit is further north, staying left, above some metal structures in the first corner, farthest north west.

      The Lost Cave

The Claptrap is near the point where there is a "T" intersection and a bandit outpost area. When you are looking at the outpost as you enter, the left path leads to a dead end, and the right path leads to the spiral area. The repair kit is up the hill (following the rail tracks up and around) and just behind the second or third building in some pipes.

      The Salt Flats

When you enter the area, go towards the huge piece of saw machinery. Once you enter that area (from the right side), take your first right, and you should see the Claptrap.

      Trash Coast

When you enter the area, turn right, and look at your map. You will see a fork in the road, go left, then make your first right. The Claptrap is in the middle of a bandit encampment right next to where a bunch of lava crab worms are. If you find the shack on the ocean, it is straight west of that and a little south. It is almost right in the middle of the southern potion of the map. The repair kit is on top of the pipe where the diamond leads. Follow it back to the trash pile, and climb onto the pipe to get it.

  • Special weapon effects

There are sometimes cryptic or humorous messages found in the stats box for weapons. These lines indicate a certain effect for the weapon. The text usually gives a hint as to what the special ability does, and is also often a reference to a video game, movie, famous quote, etc. Sometimes the description relates to the Boss or enemy who dropped the weapon. For example, the description for The Clipper reads "Don't Drop It... Might Lose A Toe." The Clipper belongs to the Boss Nine-Toes and is the reason for the weapon's name. Note: Some of the listed effects may not be completely accurate. All weapons vary in quality, except Eridian weapons, which are always green. Boss and quest weapons range from green up to purple, with blue being the most common. Weapons will also vary in accuracy, fire rate, ammunition count, etc., based upon what weapon is the basic model. For instance, some revolvers have two rounds; however, these revolvers generally do more damage than the revolvers that have three or six rounds. Essentially, orange weapons modify the base gun with their special modifiers.

    Alien rifles

Note: The text for Eridian weapons are marked differently and apply to the entire class of alien weapon.

"010011110100110101000111, Eridian Cannon (In binary, it is the ASCII encoding for "OMG".)
"Anybody need a light?, Eridian Fire Storm (Reference to the Firebat quote from Starcraft.)
"Getting near this thing makes your hair stand on end., Eridian Shock Rifle
"Hold on...it does what?, Eridian Elemental Rifle
"I feel like I'm gonna break this thing., Eridian Lightning (Reference to "The Noisy Cricket" from Men In Black.)
"Lightning never strikes the same place twice, but it can strike freaking everywhere!, Eridian Thunder Storm
"No face shall go unmelted., Eridian Acid Storm
      "Pew Pew Pew!, Eridian Blaster

    Combat rifles

"2 more bullets makes all the difference", Dahl Raven: Five round bursts instead of three.
"A watchful eye", The Sentinel: Increased zoom.
"Dragon Fire!", S&S Draco: Chance to set enemies on fire; 3x Incendiary.

"Ammo is no longer an issue.", Tediore Protector: Ammo regeneration.
"Big Tony Says "Hi"", S&S Thanatos: Extended magazine
"Bring the HEAT!", Maliwan Firehawk: High fire damage and a chance to cause splash fire damage.
"Don't drop it... might lose a toe.", The Clipper: +100% melee damage. (Reference to the gun being Nine-Toes' gun beforehand. He presumably dropped it and lost a toe.)
"Double Whammy.", S&S Gemini: Fires a two round burst each with a two bullet spread. Thus, it shoots four rounds that uses two ammo. May have decreased or inaccurate accuracy rating from modifier. (Reference to a quote by the protagonist in the movie Judge Dredd.)
"Feel the Sting", Dahl Hornet: Fires two-round bursts
"Sometimes, I Forget To Reload", The Dove: Does not use ammo.
"Never stop shooting!", Vladof Rebel: Extended magazine.
"Omnia vincit amor", Lady Finger: +100% critical damage. (A Latin phrase from Eclogue X by Virgil meaning "love conquers all".)
"Pain Heals.", Atlas Troll: Regenerates health for 1HP/sec while holding in hand.
"Slice Slice", Hyperion Reaper: +300% melee damage.

"Long and Strong", Dahl Anaconda: Increased accuracy and power. (Reference to the "Baby Got Back" song by Sir Mix-A-Lot: "I'm long and I'm strong, and I'm down to get the friction on... My anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns, hun.")
"May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't.", Atlas Patton: Inflicts very high damage to enemy shields. (Reference to a quote by Gen. George S. Patton.)
"Unending Firepower", Tediore Equalizer: Ammo regeneration

    Rocket launchers

"Beware the Horde!", Vladof Mongol: Fires a large rocket which in turn fires off smaller rockets as it travels.
"Death rains from above", Hyperion Nidhogg: Rockets have a MIRV effect and split into multiple rockets that hit the ground after a certain distance.
"It rises!", Leviathan: Rockets are affected by gravity and will arc in their path.
"Gonna cook someone today", The Roaster: High fire damage.
"Monster Kill!", Torgue Redemption: Fires a slow moving rocket with a larger blast radius compared to typical rocket launchers, and uses multiple rounds per shot. (Reference to the Unreal weapon The Redeemer, which fires remote controlled nuclear warheads, often resulting in the announcer shouting "Monster Kill!".)
"The Unstoppable Force", Maliwan Rhino: Rocket will explode in flight, potentially multiple times, before reaching the target and detonating.

    Shotguns

Note: The "Holy crap! It shoots rockets!" effect is not displayed in red like other weapon special effects. It can appear on the same weapon as other effects, and depending on the combination, may negate the other effect. For example, a weapon with both "Five heads of Death" and "Holy crap! It shoots rockets!" will only shoot a single rocket with each shot instead of a horizontal spread.

"Ahhh... Fresh meat!", Hyperion Butcher: Fast 5-shot burst. (Reference to a quote by the recurring character, The Butcher, in Blizzard Entertainment's games, found in Diablo and Warcraft III.)
"Beyond Groovy", Boom Stick: Fires the gun's default magazine in one shot as a burst, and each round is a rocket. If the clip is expanded by perks, you will have the left over rounds to fire in another burst. (Reference to a quote in Army Of Darkness (Evil Dead 3), where the main character Ash's catchphrase is "Groovy" and he calls his favorite shotgun "Boomstick".)
"Bring out your Dead", Maliwan Crux: High corrosive damage.
"Cross their heart, hope they die.", S&S Crux: Spread pattern is that of a large plus sign, Crux being Latin for cross. The plus shape is predefined and unaffected by the weapon's accuracy.
"Drop the Hammer!", Vladof Hammer: Spread pattern is in the shape of a hammer and automatic. It may take firing an entire magazine to see the effect.
"Five heads of Death", Atlas Hydra: Spread pattern appears as a line.
"Have a nice day!", Torgue Friendly Fire: Spread appears to make smiley face patterns.
"Holy crap! It shoots rockets!", Fires a rocket instead of shotgun pellets.

"Sniper Killer... Qu'est que c'est", Dahl Penetrator: Fully automatic. (Reference to a line from the "Psycho Killer" song by The Talking Heads: "Psycho killer, qu'est-ce que c'est?".)
"The cutting edge", Reaver's Edge: Max zoom and chance to ignore shields, potentially with increased zoom.
      "Thwack!", Nailer: Higher critical damage.

  • Restoring hacked robot's health

After hacking a robot, it will begin firing at your enemies. If the robot gets hit, it will begin to lose health, catch on fire, and eventually blow up. To stop this from happening, deactivate the robot, then reactivate it a few seconds later. This should make the robot have full health again.

  • Hitting the jackpot at slot machine

Save the game before you start playing the slot machine. Then, keep reloading your saved game until you hit the jackpot.

  • Easy money

Use the Incinerate Plasmid on any slot machine to corrupt the machine. You will usually always win money when you use the burnt out machine.

  • Molotov cocktails

While normally the various alcoholic beverages (for example, Arcadia Merlot, Old Tom Whiskey, etc.) scattered throughout the game are used to recover health, they can be turned into Molotov cocktails similar to those used by the "Nitro Splicer" enemy. To do this, use a source of flame, such as the chemical thrower, the Incinerate! Plasmid, or an environmental source. Ignite the alcohol bottle, pick it up with the Telekinesis Plasmid, and throw it at the enemy of choice.

  • Save game recommendations

Save the game before fighting a Big Daddy or other difficult enemies. If you do not like the results (used too much health, wasted too much ammunition, etc.), you can simply reload your saved game and try again until you are satisfied.

After becoming a Big Daddy, create a new saved game. At this point, you will be close to the end of the game. If you missed something, you can go to the Bathysphere and explore Rapture again; you are also a Big Daddy now so the Splicers will not harm you, security cameras will not set off alarms, etc.

2: On the way to Farmer's Market in Arcadia, the station is located to the left after you go up the first stairs coming from Tree Farm.

3: Go to Winery's basement in Farmer's Market. There is a flooded area with one of them attached to the wall. It is in front of you when you come down the stairs; just keep going forward.

4: In Fort Frolic, from the Atrium bottom floor, go towards the bathrooms. Then, move right and follow the path until you see some small stairs to your right leading up to a door. Go inside, then go down into the basement. The basement is filled with cigars and other stuff. The upgrade station is on the wall.

5: Go to Poseidon Plaza in Fort Frolic. Go to the other end of the bottom floor (the opposite end of where you enter). Go into Sinclair Spirits (the room that has a corpse on a sort of "altar"). In the basement of this store is the station.

6: In Hephaestus Core Room, go down to the bottom floor, and run around (literary). Eventually you will see it attached to the wall.

11: When you enter Point Prometheus and chase Fontaine, eventually you will end up in a little square, and Fontaine will go behind a locked Museum door. At the opposite end of this square (from where you came) is a dead Big Daddy. Next to it is the upgrade.

12: In the Voice changing labs in Point Prometheus, one of the labs has it.

  • Easy kills

When you start, you will have the Wrench and the Electric Bolt Plasmid. Using these in rapid succession against most Splicers can often result in an efficient, quick kill. First, shock the Splicer. Before the convulsion ends, switch to the wrench, aim high, and hit the Splicer over the head. An efficient way of killing the Spider Splicers is to shoot a few clips of anti-personnel ammunition, preferably from the machine gun.

  • Finding Chompers' Dental key

The key to Chompers' Dental in the Medical Pavilion is acquired by using Telekinesis through the broken window to the left of the door. There should be a corpse hanging over the broken window. The key should be grabbed with Telekinesis because it is hanging on a wall on the other side of the window. You can get Telekinesis in an area near here. You will need to get that first, but do not follow the arrow back to the rubble that you need to get rid of until you explore Chompers' Dental. There is a safe and other good items inside. Note: Both Telekinesis and Chompers' Dental are near where you find the shotgun.

  • Reaching Atlas Fontaine's penthouse

The code to get to Atlas Fontaine's penthouse is "5744", which is in an Audio Diary.

  • Defeating Atlas Fontaine

Atlas Fontaine, the the final Boss, has three different styles of attacks: Flame Plasmid, Ice Plasmid, and Electric Plasmid Form. An easy way to defeat him in the first part is to use your Ice Plasmid and freeze him. Then, switch to your Telekinesis Plasmid. Grab an explosive tank, and throw it at him. Also, if desired, just use your telekinesis. He is very predictable if you are far away from him. Wait for him to throw a fire ball at you, then move out of the way. He will continue to run past you. Use this chance to fire the machine gun, which does the most damage to him. Once he goes back to his chamber to gain his life back, change to the Flame Plasmid, and get ready for some bots. Once he starts his routine of fire and run, shoot him with the Flame Plasmid as many times as possible. Continue to use the machine gun while he is aflame. He will now go back to his chamber one last time. He will now have electrical powers. Keep your Flame Plasmid ready. Shoot him with the Flame Plasmid, and he will run for the water. Once he jumps in the water and comes back out, hit him with it again. Be aware that there are Splicers all over as well; set them ablaze to get some extra life. There are many different ways to defeat him, but this is an easier way.

An easy way to defeat Atlas Fontaine is to make sure that you have the fully upgraded shotgun and the Decoy ability. After you drain his Adam, drop a decoy and while Atlas is attacking it, use the shot gun. After you have used all four rounds immediately cast Decoy again, reload your shotgun, then begin shooting him again. Repeat this until you have to drain his Adam. Once again, reload your shotgun and Plasmids before you drain his Adam. Then, start over using Decoy and the shotgun. Use health packs as needed and ignore any Splicers in the area, as they will be paying attention to your Decoy just like Atlas.

  • Defeating Big Daddies

When fighting a Big Daddy, use armor piercing rounds from the machine gun or pistol. For a more effective way of killing, launch frag grenades and run out a door. The Big Daddy will follow you. Fire proximity mines at the door, and when it walks through it will be damaged or destroyed.

Once you have obtained the crossbow and at least five Trap Bolts, it is easy to kill a Big Daddy. Face a wall and stand about three feet away. Make sure it is not something that the bolts can bounce off of, and you have at least a ten foot long straight wall. Once you are better skilled at this technique, you can try for shorter lengths if desired. Point straight ahead and fire a bolt. Take about two steps to the left or right, depending on your location and which way the Bid Daddy is facing, and fire another. Once you fire all five bolts, shoot the Big Daddy once with anything. If done correctly, it will run through the line of traps, taking enough of his health away so he can be killed with just a few more shots. Note: This may not work in an open area because Big Daddies strafe frequently. If you have the damage increase for the crossbow, it will only take three or four bolts to kill him. Do not crouch while setting up the traps. If the Big Daddy walks another way and gets out of sight, you may need to go back to get him. If you do get him, you can crouch under the set traps. An easy way to trigger bolt traps is to pick up something with Telekinesis and drag the object through it.

Once you get the Security Bullseye Plasmid, set off an alarm either by hacking or being spotted by a security camera. Then, throw the Security Bullseye at the Big Daddy. You may have to do this more than once depending on how much health the Big Daddy has when starting out. Try to avoid the battle because the crossfire and exploding bots will damage your health. The only problem with this technique is that once the Big Daddy is taken down, the bots will come after you. Be prepared to either run and hide, fight them off, or pay to shut them down.

  • Defeating Frank Fontaine

To defeat Frank Fontaine very fast, when you first enter the room, hit him with the tool the Little Sisters gave you. Fight him when he throws you off. Once he is back on the bed, run up and hit him again with the tool to drain his Adam. This works a lot faster due to him only having four or five jars of Adam to drain, and the fights are not very long afterwards.

  • Defeating Peach Wilkins

Once the dark cloud envelopes the icy battlefield upon which you must face Peach Wilkins, save the game, and locate the hostile turret at the end of the room when the cloud clears. Load the game, and run to it before the cloud clears, so that you can quickly freeze or shock it. Then, hack it so it shoots your enemies. Crouch down by the area to your right when facing the turret. There are a few barriers here to protect you from enemy fire. However, to avoid damage by Wilkins' grenades, keep Telekinesis as your active Plasmid. He will avoid the turret's fire, but as long as you stay behind the barriers by the turret he will stay at a safe distance. This gives you time to calmly return his grenades using Telekinesis until he dies. The turret will take out most of the Splicers. This method makes things much easier because it eliminates the hectic "run around and hit enemies with the wrench" strategy that is otherwise your only option. If the turret is not used as an ally, it can easily become a problem, along with the bots triggered by the security camera. By hiding near the allied turret however, you also hide from the camera's view.

  • Defeating security robots

If you are up against a stationary security robot (RPG, etc.), use Telekenesis to grab a crate or pallet. Hold it in front of you until you can find a place to hide and know what to do next. The item you hold up will block some attacks.

  • Pac-Man reference

In the Arcadia level, you will find a place that appears to be a bar. Search around a bit, and you will see a block of cheese, followed by holes. The cheese is cut like Pac-Man himself. There are holes next to it, none of which can be gun shots. If you shoot the floor with any weapon you have, the marks will not match.
